Class 6 Wikis
What the heck is a wiki? It is a tool much like a blog, but much better for collaboration. A wiki allows for multiple authors to add content. Educational wikis allows students to problem solve, peer edit, collaborate, and easy access to documents from anywhere as long as they have an internet connection and a Web browser to work from on their computers. The most well known wiki is called Wikipedia. This is a free online collaborative encyclopedia that has up-to-date entries made by the general public. Contributors to Wikipedia usually monitor, evalute, edit, and authenticate the content that is provided in Wikipedia.

I love the concept of a Wiki to collaborate. I use a Wiki through the EBL math lead, which has been helpful. As for using at the school level, so few people know about Wikis that it hasn't happened. Maybe down the road...
