DropBox

Drop Box is an easy way to store, sync, and, share files online. There's no complicated interface to learn. Drop Box works seamlessly with any operating system. Teachers can use Drop Box as a way to backup school files and share documents between colleagues.

Assignments

  1. Create a Dropbox account
  2. Create a shared folder
  3. Upload a document to the shared folder. Documents shared can include a picture, text, and short video.
  4. Post a reflection to this post.  What do you think about Dropbox?  Do you see a benefit of using Dropbox in education?  Is this something you would want to use with students or fellow teachers?

  1. My husband uses dropbox and my daughter needs to...too many laptop crashes....so I know about it for students. One thing I think this would be helpful for is for group or collaborative work. i could see this for common assessments. I could see this for students editing and creating short videos together. It all seems more secure and reliable than other storage systems.
